Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 34.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.2 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Mr Graham Glass, did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Our Flying Gaga fell soon after the start. Gold Rocks, Market Chick and Jay For Jack collided soon after the start checking Jay For Jack. Market Chick and Killer Miss collided approaching the home turn checking Market Chick. Diva Dot and Jay For Jack raced wide in the home straight. Diva Dot and Jay For Jack collided in the home straight.
Our Flying Gaga underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was found.
