Steward's Report
Itchy Kaala was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Our Flying Gaga, Three Kisses, Hop Skip Skeet and Alinta's Girft collided on the first turn, checking Three Kisses and Hop Skip Skeet and severely checking Our Flying Gaga. Our Flying Gaga checked off Itchy Kaala entering the home straight. Big Bluey Rocks visibly eased in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Big Bluey Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstring injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Scott McKenzie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Big Bluey Rocks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge, Big Bluey Rocks was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
