Steward's Report
Burning Express was quick to begin.
Briar Jet checked off Belt Up Libba soon after the start. Hardaway George faltered on the first turn. Atlas Bombshell checked off Rusty Nail on the first turn.
Hardaway George underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Edwards, the trainer of Hardaway George regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Hardaway George must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
