In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.4 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Deed Of Shianne was slow to begin.

Queen Lisa, Pure Promise, Holding Hope and Our Flying Gaga collided soon after the start checking Holding Hope and Our Flying Gaga. Queen Lisa, Deed Of Shianne and Pure Promise collided on the first turn checking Queen Lisa and Deed Of Shianne. Pretty Mouse and Market Chick collided on the first turn. Deed Of Shianne and Pure Promise collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Magic Daisy and Market Chick collided enetering the home straight. Pretty Mouse and Magic Daisy collided in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Magic Daisy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor spike wound to the right paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Bartlett regarding the racing manners of Magic Daisy approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bartlett, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Dancing Molly and Blazing Kansas collided approaching the first turn. Sloth, Dami Jack and Blazing Cansas collided on the first turn. Uncatchable Girl crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Sloth, Parasite and Uncatchable Girl. Sloth, Blazing Kansas and Uncatchable Girl raced wide in the home straight.

Chase Man – New declared weight of 34.9kg, last raced at 33.2kg.

Chase Man and Maxi Mal collided on the first turn severely checking Chase Man. Maxi Mal and Amnesty Girl collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Jye Licious, Table Top and Come Home collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Gotta Jump Start checked off Black Miss approaching the home turn. Right Above It and All Of Us collided entering the home straight. All Of Us and Black Miss collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to handler Ms. B. Merton regarding the boxing manners of Right Above It.  After hearing evidence from Ms. Merton,  a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s boxing manners.

Argyle Bella checked off Hook Along Pippa soon after the start. Kid Caldwell and Ishmy Neecy collided approaching the first turn checking Kid Caldwell. Argyle Bella and Ishmy Neecy collided on the first turn. Big Little Sis, Tiffy's Express and Kalkari collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds.

State Of Mine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stride For Pride and Miss Marley collided soon after the start. G'Day Muscles and Chasing Beers collided approaching the first turn. Stride For Pride, Miss Marley and Kraken Storm collided on the first turn checking Kraken Storm, Chasing Beers and G'Day Muscles and severely checking Miss Marley which pulled up as a result. Indominus raced wide in the home straight.

Miss Marley underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Last Shot was quick to begin.

Aston Respect and Black Garnet collided on the first turn. Aston Respect and Market Bob collided on the home turn.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Southern Edge with representative Mr. Jordan Formosa and noted his comments.

Briar Jet checked off Belt Up Libba soon after the start. Hardaway George faltered on the first turn. Atlas Bombshell checked off Rusty Nail on the first turn.

Hardaway George underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found  to have a right wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Edwards, the trainer of Hardaway George regarding its performance on the first turn.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Hardaway George must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
