Lektra Desire was quick to begin.
Road Side Assist, G'Day Muscles, Grudge and Kraken Bo collided soon after the start; checking Road Side Assist and G'Day Muscles. G'Day Muscles checked off Grudge on the first turn.
Road Side Assist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg calf and thigh injuries and an abrasion to the right foreleg toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Electric Hippy - the winner of the event.
