Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) track personnel, Mr J La Rosa did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Deed Of Shianne was very slow to begin (3L).
Lembor and Uncatchable Girl collided soon after the start. Raw Attitude, Holding Hope and Paisley Bale collided approaching the first turn; checking Holding Hope and Star Gazers. Holding Hope and Star Gazers collided approaching the home turn. Lembor raced wide on the home turn. Kraken Rita visably eased on the home turn. Kraken Rita and Uncatchable Girl collided several times in the home straight.
Kraken Rita underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg groin injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr T Wark regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Rita was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Wark pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Rita was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Uncatchable underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have right hindleg nail and split webbing injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
