The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Bomber's Smokey checked off Sassy Galaxy approaching the first turn.  Ready To Slide checked off Luigi Bale on the first turn.  Totally Bella crossed in on the first turn checking Galiena Bale and Bomber's Smokey.  Galiena Bale, Bomber's Smokey and Luigi Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Galiena Bale and Bomber's Smokey.  Sassy Galaxy and Totally Bella collided on the home turn.

Bomber's Train, Rip Off Roslyn, Gout Ralph and Coalville Chief were slow to begin.

Bomber's Train and Rip Off Roslyn collided soon after the start.  Love A Collision and Blue Cascade collided on the first turn checking Blue Cascade.  Malizia crossed in on the first turn checking Bomber's Train and Rip Off Roslyn.  Gout Ralph clipped the heels of Bomber’s Train on the home turn checking Gout Ralph.  Bomber's Train and Blue Cascade collided in the home straight.  

Malizia – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Our Boy Benny, Pretty More and All To Mac were slow to begin.

All To Mac checked Charlie Brother soon after the start.  Neo Cleo Us and Hubcap Thief collided approaching the first turn checking Hubcap Thief.  Tee Tee galloped on Hubcap Thief on the first turn checking Hubcap Thief, Tee Tee and All To Mac.  Our Boy Benny checked off Fidelia on the home turn.  

Stewards spoke to Mr.S.Kyriacopoulos, the trainer of Charlie Brother as some notable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards.  The comments of Mr. Kyriacopoulos were noted. 

So Joe Mac and Captain Cruiser were quick to begin.

Bomber's Queen and Horace Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Horace Bale and Sovereign Strike.  Fallen Petal checked off Lil Roughy approaching the first turn.  Fallen Petal and Sovereign Strike collided approaching the first turn checking Sovereign Strike.  Horace Bale and Bomber's Queen collided approaching the first turn.  Lil Roughy and Fallen Petal raced wide in the home straight.

Sovereign Strike underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Captain Cruiser - winner of the event. 

Dynamite Des – Late scratching at 2.12pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. John Bosnich was fined $100.

Mighty Tuscany and Hyena Queen collided soon after the start checking Hyena Queen.  Mt. View Dodger and Go The Doves collided approaching the first turn.  Peregrine Speed visibly eased approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Casanova Man, Mt. View Dodger and Go The Doves collided approaching the home turn checking Mt. View Dodger and Go The Doves.  Casanova Man and Go The Doves collided on the home turn checking Hyena Queen.  Mighty Tuscany turned its head in the home straight checking Mt. View Dodger.  

Mighty Tuscany underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain and calf injuries and a abrasion to the left metacarpal.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr John Brown regarding the greyhounds racing in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mighty Tuscany was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Mighty Tuscany was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Peregrine Speed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Mr. Reginald Boyce declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Boyce, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Peregrine Speed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Boyce pleaded guilty to the charge, Peregrine Speed was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was delayed by 2 minutes while the lure was repositioned.

Hird From Bucks and Cosmic Vigilante were slow to begin.

Dundee Prince and Dream Gem collided approaching the first turn.  Hird From Bucks and Cosmic Vigilante collided approaching the first turn.  Dream Gen contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Darnum Dozer and Buddy Goes Bang collided on the first turn.  Dream Gem and Buddy Goes Bang collided entering the home straight.  

Dream Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Winsome Willow, Warm Beer, Why Not Dot and Zipping Lach were slow to begin.

Warm Beer and Brave Traveller collided soon after the start.  What Price Bucks and Princess America collided approaching the first turn checking Princess America, Warm Beer and Brave Traveller, Princess America lost ground as a result.  

Princess America underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Zipping Atticus, Hazy's Girl and Mepunga Harry were slow to begin.

Bricabrac and Invictus Murray collided approaching the first turn checking Bricabrac.  Mepunga Harry crossed in approaching the first turn checking Meat Murphy, Wee Gem, Invictus Murray and Mighty Matilda.  Wee Gem, Hazy's Girl and Mepunga Harry raced wide in the home straight.  Bricabrac crossed out and raced wide in the home straight.  

Haitham Bale and Love To Deed were slow to begin.

Making Magic and Taciana collided on the first turn checking Bindi Girl, Taciana and Love To Deed.  Love To Deed and Taciana collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Love To Deed turned its head outwards in the home straight.

Love To Deed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Michael Dewan regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Love To Deed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Dewan pleaded guilty to the charge, Love To Deed was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Madalia Daisy checked off Zumi's Swagger soon after the start.  Somerton Osprey and Antique Ali collided approaching the first turn.  

Speed Demon crossed in approaching the first turn checking What's Up Skip, Crouching Tiger, Midnight Storm and Feel The Thunder.  Feel The Thunder and Crouching Tiger collided on the first turn.  Speed Demon and Maximum Jodie collided on the home turn.  

Curnow Keats was quick to begin.

Buddy Blinx and Banjo Plato collided on the first turn checking Banjo Plato.  Big Baccala and Architecture collided entering the home straight.
