Steward's Report
Vanilla Sky was quick to begin. Black Heel High was slow to begin.
Black Heel High, Merriview Jolt, Brindle Fire and Barellen Mist collided approaching the first turn severely checking Brindle Fire and causing Black Heel High and Barellen Mist to fall. Vanilla Sky raced wide approaching the first turn. Brindle Fire raced wide in the home straight.
Black Heel High underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg hip injury and a left hindleg triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Barellen Mist underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tibia fracture Barellen Mist was humanely euthanased.
Brindle Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
