Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Tinker Scott - Late scratching at 6.42pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Miss Zara and Hey There Brodie were slow to begin.

La La Louis and Paul's Winner collided on the first turn. Ruby Arizona and La La Louis collided on the home turn. Hey There Brodie visibly eased and pulled up in the home straight.

Hey There Brodie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Ms. T. Deglaitis declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Deglaitis, the trainer of Hey There Brodie regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Hey There Brodie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Deglaitis pleaded guilty to the charge, Hey There Brodie is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Junior, Edge Serena, Robin's Choice and Dance Diva Dance were slow to begin.

Why Not Pockets – Late scratching at 12.25pm when Mr. L Carter reported the greyhound to have an injury. (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Weblec Pearl galloped on Reiko Houdini approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Fried White Bait, Marcus Rose and Appalachian collided on the first turn checking Fried White Bait. Mr P Inguanti was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Inga Ollie pursuant to GAR 33.

Lektra Rainbow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dundee Prince was quick to begin.

Midnight Hussler, Milly Mac, Zoe's Intention, Prophetess, Omar Little and Cosmic Sparkle collided soon after the start checking Milly Mac, Zoe's Intention, Prophetess and Omar Little. Omar Little underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
