Golden Charm was slow to begin.
Plain Name and Crown Knox collided soon after the start. Ink Spot, Dewana Chic and Librarian collided on the first turn. Ink Spot clipped the heels of Librarian in the back straight checking Ink Spot. Saffron Gold galloped on the heels of Ink Spot in the back straight causing Ink Spot to fall and severely checking Huntly Star. Librarian and Plain Name collided on the second turn checking Plain Name.
Ink Spot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right for toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
