Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Work Zone underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race. 

Mepunga Holly and Kraken Bo collided soon after the start. Kernel Panic, Big Papi, Kraken Bo and Myrniong Cosmo collided on the first turn checking Myrniong Cosmo and Flying Jamaica. Mepunga Holly and Myrniong Cosmo collided approaching the home turn. Big Papi and Kraken Bo collided approaching the home turn. Big Papi crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Kraken Bo.

Myrniong Cosmo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fore toe injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

I'm Poppy and Elegant Malt collided approaching the first turn. Red Hot Chance, Tekidanto and Bilbo collided on the first turn checking Red Hot Chance and I'm Poppy.

Tiramisu For You - Late scratching at 20:40 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Berringa Blue and Alana Rose collided soon after the start. Six And Out galloped on the heels of American Star on the first turn. Wicked One and Ruby's Rosa collided on the first turn. Six And Out, Berringa Blue and Serious Mayhem collided approaching the home turn checking Serious Mayhem and Ruby's Rosa. Wicked One crossed to the outside entering the home straight checking Serious Mayhem. Strategic, American Star and Six And Out raced wide entering the home straight. Strategic and Berringa Blue collided approaching the winning post.

Golden Charm was slow to begin.

Plain Name and Crown Knox collided soon after the start. Ink Spot, Dewana Chic and Librarian collided on the first turn. Ink Spot clipped the heels of Librarian in the back straight checking Ink Spot. Saffron Gold galloped on the heels of Ink Spot in the back straight causing Ink Spot to fall and severely checking Huntly Star. Librarian and Plain Name collided on the second turn checking Plain Name.

Ink Spot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right for toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Huntly Star underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. B. Priest, handler of McIvor Stretch was issued a warning in that he made contact with the rear of the boxes after boxing the greyhound pursuant to GAR 51 (10)(c).
