Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Rockstar Jelfs and Okay Bow were slow to begin.

Oh Mary raced wide on the first turn.  Rockstar Jelfs checked off Zipping Elsa approaching the home turn.  Okay Bow visibly eased and turned its head outwards approaching the home turn, colliding with Rockstar Jelfs and colliding again on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Ray's Boy and Zipping Elsa collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Elsa raced wide in the home straight.  

Okay Bow underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to the representative of Okay Bow Mrs Debbie Coleman (who declined a re-vet) regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Okay Bow was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Coleman pleaded guilty to the charge, Okay Bow is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Inter Vince and Dominus were slow to begin.

Another Attempt crossed out approaching the first turn checking Inter Vince and Romeo Bale.  Another Attempt and Blackpool Bolt collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Bolt, severely checking Another Attempt, Romeo Bale, Ginger Meggs, Dominus and Olive's Branch, causing Romeo Lad to lose considerable ground and causing Olive's Branch to fall.  

Romeo Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Olive's Branch underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Trainer Mr Luigi Pisano requested that Elite Rossi undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right fore foot dislocated and ligament rupture toe injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  

Stewards noted there was no photo finish available for this event due to a technical problem.

Cooped Up was slow to begin.

Why Not Gigi and Floppy Roo collided soon after the start checking Floppy Roo.  Meehan Marlow crossed in approaching the first turn checking Super Overdrive and Always Primed.  Why Not Gigi checked off Blackpool Flash approaching the first turn.  Why Not Gigi and Floppy Roo collided on the first turn checking Why Not Gigi, Floppy Roo, Miss Demonica, Super Overdrive, severely checking Always Primed, causing Why Not Gigi, Floppy Roo, Miss Demonica and Super Overdrive to race wide.  Floppy Roo and Blackpool Flash collided approaching the home turn.  

Macey's Star, Our Missy Grace and Mich Wiggle collided soon after the start checking Our Missy Grace.  Razor Roy crossed in on the first turn checking Macey's Star and Mich Wiggle, causing Macey's Star to race wide; in turn checking Mich Wiggle and Star Ballerina, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  

Aston Kipchoge, Smooth Talker and Fine Intention were slow to begin. 

Serengeti Icon and Lump Sum collided soon after the start checking Lump Sum.  Serengeti Icon and Eddie collided on the first turn checking Serengeti Icon.  Fine Intention crossed in on the first turn checking Smooth Talker.  Aston Kipchoge checked off Serengeti Icon on the first turn checking Lump Sum and Smooth Talker.  Aston Kipchoge crossed in approaching the home turn checking Sweet Mamma Mia and Serengeti Icon.  

Bessie's Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.

Greysynd Spectre, Text Me Later and Knuckles collided soon after the start checking Greysynd Spectre.  Alumni checked off Text Me Later approaching the first turn.  Text Me Later, Rusty Model and Knuckles collided on the first turn checking Text Me Later, Knuckles, Alumni and Erupting Avatar, Alumni and Erupting Avatar raced wide as a result.  Why Not Dot and Erupting Avatar collided entering the home straight.
