Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mt. View Sassy and Belt Up Dusty collided soon after the start. Another Avatar and Luboko collided soon after the start, Luboko crossed out as a result. Another Avatar and Mt. View Sassy collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark checking Mt. View Sassy. Another Avatar and Belt Up Dusty collided at the 150m mark checking Belt Up Dusty.

Mt. View Pearl – Late scratching at 10:13am when Mr Trevor Whitford reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards directed Mr Whitford must produce a veterinary certificate within 24 hours before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Apple Valley was slow to begin.

Boes Bandit and Mt. View Nancy collided soon after the start, again at the 250m mark and again approaching the 200m mark checking Your Queen. Apple Valley crossed to the outsde at the 200m mark. Mt. View Nancy and Market Chick collided at the 100m mark checking Mt. View Nancy.

Astro Naughton – Late scratching at 6:10pm when Mr Jason Hardy reported the greyhound to have a wrist injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Market Charlie was quick to begin.

Barunga Bullet, Without Fear and Chasin' Louie colldied soon after the start. Chasin' Louie crossed out at the 250m mark and checked off Nitro Nana. Without Fear checked off Draconic Lad at the 250m mark and crossed out. Without Fear and Chasin' Louie collided at the 200m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Market Charlie - the winner of the event. 

Aston Frigate was slow to begin.

Warrior Armo and Yenderra Bazza collided at the 250m mark. Husky Freckle and Miss Toy collided approaching the winning post. 

Finlaystone and Tibby Shore were slow to begin. 

Courtney Lee and Tibby Shore collided soon after the start. Jitterbug Witch checked off Finlaystone at the 150m mark. Parrotfish Fozz and Finlaystone collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark. Jitterbug Witch checked off Tibby Shore at the 100m mark and crossed out. Parrotfish Fozz checked off Finlaystone at the 50m mark. 

Brayden Lennox was slow to begin and crossed in soon after the start.

Market Legend and Monaco Lights collided approaching the 150m mark. Brayden Lennox checked off Monaco Lights approaching the 150m mark. Brayden Lennox checked off Succession Plan approaching the 50m mark. Monaco Lights checked off Succession Plan approaching the winning post. 

Monaco Lights was vetted following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a superficial wound to the left hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

After monitoring the behaviour of Brayden Lennox in the catching pen for this event, Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Gerry Orr and directed that the greyhound must wear an anti-aggression muzzle in all future events.  

Last Night – New declared weight of 34.7kg, last raced at 33.6kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Last Night.

Last Night crossed out at the 300m mark and collided with Boes Bounty.

Run Maggie Run and Uncle Rico colldied soon after the start. Uncle Rico crosed to the rail at the 300m mark. Ted's Dream, Stride For Pride and Melanistic collided at the 300m mark. Coyote Ugly crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark and collided with Stride For Pride and Run Maggie Run.  

A post-race sample was taken from Melanistic - the winner of the event. 

Aqua Percy was slow to begin.

Vice Grip and Plain Name collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Toyed.

Avenger Spolly was slow to begin. 

Toyed crossed to the outside soon after the start. Mt. View Rocks and Papa Panda collided at the 300m mark. Clan McMillan, Mt. View Rocks and Papa Panda collided at the 250m mark. Clan Mcillan checked off Avenger Spolly approaching the 50m mark.

Bombardier King was slow to begin.

Bombardier King crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Make A Pat.

Saharrah Blitz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness to the right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Tatti, the Trainer of Saharrah Blitz and after viewing all available footage issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.

In accordance with LR 22 Mr Justin Hetherton was issued with a warning regarding his non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.

A pre-race sample was taken from Usara Allen.

Kracka Barcia, Pranjip Comet and Kraken Roger collided at the 250m mark. Kracka Barcia and Pranjip Comet crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark. Usara Allen and Kraken Roger collided at the 200m mark and again several times from the 100m mark to approaching the winning post.
