Steward's Report
Granny Said Go - Late scratching at 1:39 pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Grand Warrior was slow to begin.
Tinker Gypsy and Gypsy Warrior collided soon after the start. Bavarian Pride and Gypsy Warrior collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Bavarian Pride lost ground in the home straight and was vetted following the event.
Bavarian Pride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race five. No apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr L Green, the trainer of Bavarian Pride regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Bavarian Pride must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
