Tinker Luke underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
Warrior Jake was slow to begin.
Tinker Luke and Crisis Time collided soon after the start. Warrior Jake clipped the heels of Tinker Luke approaching the first turn; checking Rose Bay, and severely checking Warrior Jake which stumbled. Yenderra Bazzas, Bourne Maximum and Grand Giveaway collided approaching the first turn; severely checking Tinker Luke, Crisis Time and Bourne Maximum. Tinker Luke and Bourne Maximum collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
Warrior Jake underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Tinker Luke underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg webbing. A five day stand down period was imposed.
