Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Marleese Bale and Kalkari were quick to begin.  Reality Luxe and Dominus collided on the first turn.  Willow's Hand was checked off Little Swagger approaching the home turn.  Bean's Multi and Little Swagger collided on the home turn.  

Little Swagger underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock and an abraded left stopper pad.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed

Remy's Girl and Black Garnet were quick to begin.  Cooped Up was slow to begin.  Missy's Hand was checked off Betty's Dream approaching the first turn.  Pay The Prince, Crackerjack Baz, Betty's Dream and Magic Indeed collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Baz, Betty's Dream and Magic Indeed.  Cooped Up and Missy 's Hand collided on the first turn.

A sample was unable to be obtained from Betty's Dream upon arrival at the course, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Supercross, Diamond Lady and Lektra Dude were slow to begin.  Lektra Scooter and Fabulous Journey collided on the first turn.  Coco Chum and Mindful Reality collided on the first turn.  Rumour File was checked off Lektra Scooter on the first turn. Coco Chum crossed out approaching the home turn causing Lektra Scooter to gallop on Coco Chum severely checking both greyhounds.  Diamond Lady galloped on Fabulous Journey approaching the home turn.  Lektra Dude raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.  Supercross was checked off Fabulous Journey in the home straight.

Crackerjack Suni was quick to begin.  Swift Intention and Zipping Whoopi were slow to begin.  Zipping Whoopi crossed out entering the back straight.  Crackerjack Suni and Swift Intention collided in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sensory.

Pilbara and Just Cruising were slow to begin.  Just Cruising and Super Shenron collided approaching the first turn.  Super Shenron and Pilbara collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Super Shenron and Pilbara raced wide on the first turn.  Steinmark and Skinny La La collided in the back straight.  Sensory galloped on Skinny La La on the third turn.  Pilbara was checked off Yellowtail Bear on the third turn.  Yellowtail Bear, Skinny La La and Pilbara collided on the home turn. Sensory crossed in in the home straight causing Steinmark to stumble.

Stewards spoke with Mr Kevin Wright who was issued with a warning under GAR 46 (1)(b) for presenting YellowTail Bear in the incorrect race-rug for scanning-out.

Threadin' Mikado and Spearhead were slow to begin.  Dewana Success and Spearhead collided on the first turn checking Spearhead.  Lethal Hawk and Spearhead collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  You Tell Me faltered entering the back straight.  Threadin' Mikado and Chelsea's Love collided in the home straight.

You Tell Me underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right metatarsal and bruising over the abdomen.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Show Of Force - the winner of the event.

It's A Blaze was quick to begin.  Motor City Tiger was slow to begin.  Bessie's Daisy was checked off It's A Blaze on the first turn checking Double Supreme.  Motor City Tiger and Smooth Talker collided on the first turn. It's A Blaze raced ungenerously on the fourth turn. It's A Blaze marred Motor City Tiger on the fifth turn severely checking Motor City Tiger. 

It's A Blaze underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Jackie Greenough the representative of It's A Blaze regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the fifth turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) It's A Blaze was charged with marring. Mrs. Greenough pleaded guilty to the charge, It's A Blaze is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Bessie's Daisy - winner of the event.

An out of competition sample was taken from Manila Knight on 16 August 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Out of competition samples were taken from Arizona Eyes, Mepunga Katie, Weblec Jet and Fabriola Zad on 17 August 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Out of competition samples were taken from Fire Legend, Run Like Jess and Taken on 19 August 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

An out of competition sample was unable to be taken from Farmor Watchers on 17 August 2020.

Arizona Eyes and Taken were slow to begin.  Mepunga Katie and Weblec Jet collided approaching the first turn checking Mepunga Katie.  Manila Knight, Run Like Jess and Weblec Jet collided on the first turn checking Weblec Jet.  Fire Legend and Catch The Thief collided on the home turn checking Catch The Thief.  Run Like Jess and Mepunga Katie collided in the home straight.

Why Not Bazzar was quick to begin.  Why Not Dot was slow to begin.  Ignatious Bale and Big Bella collided on the first turn.  Why Not Dot and Kimani collided on the first turn checking Kimani.  Why Not Hutch was checked off Ignatious Bale approaching the home turn checking Big Bella.  Why Not Hutch and Big Bella collided on the home turn.

Why Not Rose and My Dark Rose were quick to begin.  Zumi's Swagger was slow to begin.  My Dark Rose crossed to the rail soon after the start checking She Got Fire.  Boes Rose raced wide on the home turn.

Bubba Jo, Buck The Jockey and Little Rage collided approaching the first turn checking Bubba Joe and Buck The Jockey, causing Little Rage to fall.  Run Shifty Run galloped on Knuckles on the first turn checking Knuckles and severely checking Run Shifty Run and Sole Elusion.  Nella Bale and Knuckles collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Bubba Jo tired approaching the winning post.

Little Rage underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the right shoulder.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sole Elusion underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds over the left legs.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bubba Jo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
