Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Dr. Tobain checked off Iceni Hunter approaching the first turn checking Misty Arandt which in turn severely checked Dr. Tobain and Chasing Opal; both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Ramona and Gunmetal Magic collided approaching the first turn. Repentless checked off Iceni Hunter approaching the first turn. Gunmetal Magic visibly eased on the first turn and checked off Ramona on the home turn causing Ramona to lose balance. Iceni Hunter and Repentless collided approaching the home turn. Ramona and Gunmetal Magic collided on the home turn and entering the home straight. Ramona, Gunmetal Magic and Repentless collided in the home straight. Repentless checked off Gunmetal Magic approaching the winning post.

Dr. Tobain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Gunmetal Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness on the right hindleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Jai Formosa regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Gunmetal Magic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Gunmetal Magic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rival Wiggy, Idaho and Pontiac Express were slow to begin. Rival Wiggy, Idaho and Titanium Teeghan collided soon after the start checking Idaho. Rival Wiggy and Titanium Teeghan collided on the first turn checking Titanium Teeghan. Rival Wiggy checked off Huntly Star on the first turn. Idaho checked off Titanium Teeghan on the first turn. Idaho raced wide on the home turn. Empire Lad and Titanium Teeghan collided entering the home straight.

Black Strat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Cayden Bale and Zanti Magic collided on the first turn. Victory Chico checked off Zanti Magic on the first turn. All Inn June and Gap Cabang collided on the home turn. Zanti Magic raced wide from the home turn to the winning post. Olin Bale checked off He's A Natural entering the home straight.

Yuken Talk went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Select Pattern was slow to begin. Madame Duggie and Jitterbug Witch collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Lektra Swing crossed to the inside on the first turn checking Lektra Bear, Jitterbug Witch, Yuken Talk and Select Pattern. Bolshoi Ballet was slow to begin. Lea Arandt went up with the lids at box was and was very slow to begin (6 lengths). Goldana Bale, Toolleen Town, Elsa Rose, Diamond Socks and Dewana Chic collided soon after the start checking Elsa Rose. Bolshoi Ballet visibly eased approaching approaching the first turn. Goldana Bale, Toolleen Town and Diamond Socks collided on the first turn checking Elsa Rose and Diamond Socks. Lea Arandt and Diamond Socks collided on the first turn.

Blazin' Bulla and Catalina Icon collided several times approaching the home turn. Verne Bale clipped the heels of Blazin' Bulla approaching the home turn and subsequently fell. Pure Profit checked off Bush Bro on the home turn. Secret Thoughts shifted to the outside on the home straight and collided with Catalina Icon. Bush Bro and Moonie Convoy collided approaching the winning post.

Verne Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Mr Jason Whybrow was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Blazin' Ruby pursuant to GAR 33.

Mr Neville Tait was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Ginny Wolf pursuant to GAR 33.
