Steward's Report
Close Encounter was quick to begin. Smash Flash was slow to begin.
Cairnlea Abby checked off the heels of Barbados Dream and collided with Smash Flash on the first turn causing Cairnlea Abby and Smash Flash to lose considerable ground. Milly Mac and Last Outlaw collided on the first turn.
Last Outlaw underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the greyhound contacted the inside running rail entering the catching pen. Last Outlaw was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Close Encounter - the winner of the event.
The photo finish for this race was available and viewed post-race for determining the placings for second and third (with a hard copy being made which is retained by Stewards) however the digital version of the photo finish was inadvertantly deleted thereafter. As such, the photo finish is unavailable for uploading to Fasttrack.
