Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Ms Kelleigh Smith, the handler of Astro Naughton was issued a warning regarding her tardiness in boxing the greyhound. Pursuant to GAR 51(9).

Avenger Spolly went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin - 4 lengths.

Petra Bale and Patricia Mary collided soon after the start. Retro Reece weakened over the concluding stages. Retro Reece and Patricia Mary collided approaching the winning post checking Retro Reece.

Retro Reece underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. After viewing the head on footage Stewards took no further action.

Mighty Tuscany and Kody Talks were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke with trainer Mr G. McMillan regarding the betting market fluctuations for the greyhound Clan Mcmillan. Mr McMillan stated that he had not supported the greyhound and was unaware of anyone who did. Stewards noted Mr McMillan's explanation and directed a post-race sample be taken.

Moodswing Tarny, Thunder Spolly, Aston Frigate and Leprechaun Tink collided soon after the start. Moodswing Tarny checked off Thunder Spolly at the 300m mark and collided with Aston Frigate and Leprechaun Tink checking Aston Frigate. Moodswing Tarny crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.

Monaco Lights was slow to begin.

Meatball Soup, Spolly's Beauty and Glayva collided at the 250m mark checking Spolly's Beauty. Monaco Lights and Spolly's Beauty collided at the 200m mark. Meatball Soup, Glayva and Zipping Benny collided at the 175m mark. Meatball Soup and Glayva collided at the 100m mark.
