Steward's Report
Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Full Of Talk and Into The River were quick to begin. She's A Keeper was slow to begin.
Full Of Talk, Light On Tackle, General Rose and Collinda Dodge collided soon after the start checking General Rose. Into The River and Airly Liberty collided approaching the first turn checking Into The River. Full Of Talk and Into The River collided on the first turn checking Full Of Talk.General Rose and She's A Keeper collided on the first turn checking She's A Keeper. Collinda Dodge and Into The River collided on the first turn checking Collinda Dodge and Light On Tackle. Light On Tackle and Collinda Dodge collided approaching the home turn checking Collinda Dodge and Drakari. Airly Liberty visible eased and lost considerable ground approaching the home turn.
Airly Liberty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms J. Holden, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Airly Liberty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Holden pleaded guilty to the charge, Airly Liberty must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
