Tsunami Oubre was quick to begin. Let's Trot was slow to begin. Into The River checked off Tsunami Oubre on the first turn. Let's Trot and Ohana Pearl collided on the first turn. Ohana Pearl checked off Let's Trot approaching the home turn. Let's Trot turned it's head and marred Here Runs Katie approaching the home turn. Tsunami Oubre and Sir Chappy collided in the home straight.
Let's Trot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Damien Howard, the representative of Let's Trot regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Let's Trot was charged with marring. Mr. Howard pleaded guilty to the charge, Let's Trot was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
