Spitfire Striker and Rich Con were slow to begin.
Ferocious Pedro and Venomous Yaala collided soon after the start. Zipping Bambi and Maximum Cook collided approaching the first turn. Maximum Cook and Ferocious Pedro collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Zipping Bambi and Rich Con collided approaching the home turn. Spitfire Striker raced ungenerously in the home straight.
Plausible Dream underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have abrasions to the left front foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Spitfire Striker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left gastrocnemius muscle. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Mitchell regarding the racing manners of Spitfire Striker in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Mitchell, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
