Steward's Report
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
Huckle Buckle was slow to begin.
Zipping Chuck checked off Patch Alice soon after the start. Rusty Buckle checked off Ema's One soon after the start. Huckle Buckle checked off Rusty Buckle approaching the first turn. Ema's One checked off Fish Tog Giblet on the first turn. Fish Tog Giblet checked off Ten Dollar Slaps approaching the home turn. Patch Alice raced wide on the home turn. Huckle Buckle and Rusty Buckle trailed the field throughout the event.
Huckle Buckle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Lewis Green, the trainer of Huckle Buckle regarding its uncompetitive performance from the first turn to the winning post. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Huckle Buckle must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Rusty Buckle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind leg back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Lewis Green, the trainer of Rusty Buckle regarding its uncompetitive performance from the first turn to the winning post.
