My Mate Damien was quick to begin.  Rona's Rocket checked off My Mate Damien soon after the start.  Zelko Spolly galloped on Chilly Slater on the first turn causing Chilly Slater to lose ground.  Chilly Slater and Rona's Rocket collided on the first turn.  Chilly Slater checked off Zelko Spolly on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Into The Shed raced wide in the home straight.

Kiwi Billy was quick to begin.  Sir Champ was slow to begin.  Into The Kitchen galloped on Dr. Grady approaching the first turn causing Dr. Grady to collide with Okay Flash; both greyhounds lost considerable ground; Dr. Grady tailed off as a result.  Into The Kitchen and Kiwi Billy collided on the first turn severely checking Into The Kitchen.

Dr. Grady underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have tarsal fractures/dislocation (hock) left hind.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Wade was quick to begin.  Lonesome Bee, Jayville Menace and Keira Spolly collided soon after the start checking Lonesome Bee and Keira Spolly.  Omega Sierra checked off Nevaeh Bale approaching the first turn.  Dr. Bronte checked off Jayville Menace on the first turn.  Jayville Menace galloped on Dr. Perry on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Bronte raced wide in the home straight.

Dr. Wade underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen -  no apparent injury was reported.

Matilda Flyer was quick to begin.  Dr. Neeki, Jayville Tahlia and Bowie collided on the first turn checking Jayville Tahlia and Dr. Neeki.  Madalia Pixie checked off Bowie approaching the home turn.  Bernadette checked off Spring Driven on the home turn.  Jayville Tahlia and Bernadette collided several times approaching the winning post.

Geena Bale was quick to begin.  Montaro was slow to begin.  Trust I Seek checked off Riverhawk on the first turn.  Jet Age contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Elephant and Jafar Bale checking Jet Age.  Jet Age, Trust I Seek and Riverhawk collided entering the back straight checking Trust I Seek and Riverhawk.  Elephant checked off Montaro on the home turn.

Jet Age underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Go Emmy Go was quick to begin.  Mt. View Audrey and Angel Eyes collided approaching the first turn.  Go Emmy Go, Blazing Nenna and Cool Customer collided entering the home straight severely checking Blazing Nenna.  Go Emmy Go and Cool Customer collided in the home straight.  Langfield Bale and Mt. View Audrey collided approaching the winning post.

General Collinda was quick to begin.  Rose's Honey was slow to begin.  Moroka Magic checked off Annie Rose on the first turn.  Zipping Caviar checked off Massimo in the back straight.  Eastside and Rose's Honey collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Patricia Jones regarding her difficulty in boxing Rose's Honey in this event.  A warning was issued to Mrs. Jones pursuant to GAR 51(9).

Dr. Lynch was quick to begin.  Madalia Champ was slow to begin.  Sandy Gem, Nicholas Rose, Madalia Champ and Carrie collided on the first turn checking Madalia Champ and Carrie.  Dr. Lynch checked off Lavish Diamond on the home turn.

Moon Sister was quick to begin.  Nifty Nelly was slow to begin.  Moon Sister, Got Me Smarty, Blue Tiger and Fargo collided on the first turn checking Blue Tiger and Fargo.  Fargo, Got Me Smarty and Blue Tiger collided on the home turn.  Lara's Love checked off Dr. Carmel entering the home straight.  Blue Tiger and Fargo collided in the home straight.  Lara's Love raced wide in the home straight.

Prabaker was quick to begin.  Wigram Road and Ultimate Mayhem collided soon after the start.  Prabaker, Wigram Road and Ultimate Mayhem collided approaching the first turn checking Ultimate Mayhem.  Prabaker, Wigram Road, Harlequin Rose and Ultimate Mayhem collided on the first turn checking Prabaker and Wigram Road.  Prabaker, Wigram Road, Ultimate Mayhem and Rock Me Gorgeous collided on the first turn.
