Palesa Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms Rickii-Lee Church, the representative of Palesa Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the third turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Palesa Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Church pleaded guilty to the charge, Palesa Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Brute underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and right hindleg back muscle injuries.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Hammerstein (via telephone), the trainer of Crackerjack Lach after he left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event.  Stewards issued Mr Hammerstein with a warning  pursuant to GAR 42(2) and requested Mr Hammerstein to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Crackerjack Lach in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
