An out of competition sample was taken from Here’s Tears, Sunset Bourbski, Run Like Jess, Stanley Road, Sir Truculent and My Girl Kizzy on 23 February 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
An out of competition sample was taken from Run Like Jess, Sunset Bourbski, Houdini Boy, Zack Monelli, Pilbara and Stanley Road again on Friday 26 February 2021, pursuant to GAR 79A.
Run Like Jess was quick to begin. Sunset Bourbski and Sir Truculent collided soon after the start checking Sunset Bourbski. Sir Truculent and Pilbara collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Houdini Boy faltered on the third turn and failed to finish. Sunset Bourbski checked off Sir Truculent entering the home straight. Zack Monelli tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Houdini Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. Following the running of this event, the section of track on the third turn was inspected and deemed satisfactory for racing.
