In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.9 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

A sample was taken from Amron Man upon arrival at the course.

Crackerjack Jaws lost ground approaching the first turn. Amron Man and Happy Dance collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Crackerjack Jaws underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right shin soreness and a right wrist sprain. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Marcus Abey regarding the racing manners of Amron Man approaching the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Abey, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Trim, the handler of Happy Dance regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box.  Acting under GAR 86(o), the Stewards charged Ms Trim for placing Happy Dance in the incorrect box during the boxing process, which was considered negligence. Ms Trim pleaded guilty to the charge. A fined of $200 was imposed. 

A sample was taken from Inky's Fireball upon arrival at the course.

Mrs. P. Patterson was issued with a warning under (GAR 86(o)) for negligence after the greyhound, Subtle Space was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.

Kennel Staff were reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound, Subtle Space was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation. 

Inky's Fireball was quick to begin. Deputy Sam, Mervyn and Dark Pearl collided approaching the first turn checking Deputy Sam. Queen Lisa, Inky's Fireball and Dark Pearl collided on the first turn. Mervyn and Subtle Space collided on the first turn. Dark Pearl, Inky's Fireball and Queen Lisa collided approaching the home turn checking Queen Lisa.

A post-race sample was taken from Subtle Space - winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Bluesette Queen upon arrival at the course.

Harden and Bluesette Queen were slow to begin. Harden and Hyena Queen collided on the first turn. Rival Wiggy and Hanaichi Empire collided on the second turn. Harden and Hyena Queen collided on the second turn. Harden and Bluesette Queen collided approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Hanachi Empire - winner of the event.

Kid Caldwell, Cullquin Vincent, Galilahi and Evil Entry collided on the first turn checking Cullquin Vincent and severely checking Quattro Miss. Cullquin Vincent and Galilahi collided approaching the second turn.

A sample was taken from Quicker Than Joe upon arrival at the course.

A pre-race sample was taken from My Victoria.

G'Day Muscles, My Victoria and Gigi's Fire collided on the first turn checking My Victoria. Quicker Than Joe and All Over Elly collided approaching the home turn. Miss Marley moved inwards towards the running rail approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Bartlett regarding the racing manners of Miss Marley approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Bartlett, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Our Magic Turbo was slow to begin. Kraken Spike and Mizuki Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Spike. Red Taltarni, Mizuki Rose, Our Girl Daisy and Kraken Jonny collided on the first turn.

A sample was taken from Solar Charge upon arrival at the course.

Solar Charge and Hagrid Grange collided approaching the first turn. Loco Luca and Full Of Weetbix collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Bling, Solar Charge and Hagrid Grange collided on the first turn checking Solar Charge. Kraken Glows eased approaching the home turn. Midnight Bling and Hagrid Grange collided approaching the home turn. Filorga Bale and Full Of Weetbix collided on the home turn. Daisy Hill Lad and Full Of Weetbix collided in the home straight.

Kraken Glows underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Thomas Wark regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Glows was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Wark pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Glows was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Solar Charge underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fore toe injury and right thigh injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Good Mate Rusty.

Kraken Ruben – Late scratching at 16:41 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right hind toe injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Aston Remi was slow to begin. Regal Missile and Rezzie's Shout collided approaching the first turn checking Rezzie's Shout. Good Mate Rusty, Rezzie's Shout and Astn Remi collided on the first turn checking Rezzie's Shout. Regal Missile and Especial One collided approaching the home turn. Regal Missile and Especial One collided approaching entering the home straight.

Aston Roxy was quick to begin and crossed to the running rail soon after he start. Rim Of Fire and Librarian collided on the first turn. Ink Spot and Always Cousins collided approaching the home turn checking Always Cousins. Buster's Choice and Aston Roxy collided on the home turn checking Buster's Choice. Buster's Choice crossed to the outside in the home straight. Ink Spot raced wide in the home straight.

Buster's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Scott McKenzie regarding the racing manners of Buster's Choice in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. McKenzie, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Cullquin Freya, Five Sisters and Lightning Gadget collided on the first turn checking Five Sisters. Five Sisters and Cullquin Freya collided on the second turn checking Cullquin Freya which lost ground and tailed off.

Cullquin Freya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hamstrings injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Lightning Gadget - winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fab Nine.

Aston Tribute crossed to the running rail soon after the start checking Lara Diamond and Aston Respect. Kin Brown and Wicked Show collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Respect. Aston Respect and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn checking Aston Respect which lost ground. Lara Diamond, Wicked Show and Fab Nine collided on the home turn checking Wicked Show and Fab Nine. Fab Nine galloped on the heels of Wicked Show entering the home straight.

Aston Respect underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gypsy Hook.

Kraken Thunder and Secret Thoughts collided on the first turn. Gardener's Boyo and Nicko In Paris collided on the first turn. Gypsy Hook clipped the heels of Kraken Thunder entering the home straight.
