Steward's Report
Metro Bloomin’ went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths), faltered and subsequently tailed off. Recapture Time, Sleek Mistress and Taylor’s Jewel collided on the first turn checking Recapture Time and Magnetic Steff. Sleek Mistress was checked off Taylor’s Jewel approaching the home turn checking Sleek Mistress and Connor Man. Sleek Mistress galloped on Recapture Time in the home straight.
Metro Bloomin’ underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
No back straight head on vision was available of this event.
The remainder of the meeting was delayed due to the water truck breaking down on the track. The track maintenance staff rectified the issue. Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing at 8:40pm.
