All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

San Martino was slow to begin.  Mt. View Pearl and San Martino collided on the first turn checking Mt. View Pearl.  Southern Bell was checked off Perfect Product on the first turn.   Southern Bell and Turbulence collided approaching the home turn checking Turbulence and severely checking Southern Bell.  Mt. View Pearl raced wide on the home turn and collided with Southern Bell checking both greyhounds.

Mt. View Pearl underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle and left groin.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lunar Halo and Ring A Ranger collided soon after the start.  Ring A Ranger galloped on Lunar Halo on the first turn causing Lunar Halo to fall, severely checking Ring A Ranger and Tsar Bell.  My Prom Queen and Queen Of Boss collided on the first turn.

Lunar Halo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle.  A 14 day standdown period was imposed.

Ring A Ranger underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right deltoid muscle and a spike wound on the left metacarpal.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Metro Bloomin’ went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths), faltered and subsequently tailed off.  Recapture Time, Sleek Mistress and Taylor’s Jewel collided on the first turn checking Recapture Time and Magnetic Steff.  Sleek Mistress was checked off Taylor’s Jewel approaching the home turn checking Sleek Mistress and Connor Man.  Sleek Mistress galloped on Recapture Time in the home straight.

Metro Bloomin’ underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

The remainder of the meeting was delayed due to the water truck breaking down on the track.  The track maintenance staff rectified the issue.  Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing at 8:40pm.
