Kiss Me Kate was quick to begin. Crackerjack Nev was slow to begin.
Chase The Magic checked off Mac Zephyr soon after the start. Chase Me Magic checked off Jaggered approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Nev checked off Jaggered on the first turn. Speedy Spyro checked off Uncle Drew approaching the home turn. Kiss Me Kate turned its head outwards and visibly eased on the home turn, entering the home straight and approaching the winning post. Jaggered checked off Perfect Rocky entering the home straight.
Kiss Me Kate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Emma Palma regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn, entering the home straight and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kiss Me Kate was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Palma pleaded guilty to the charge, Kiss Me Kate was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
