All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing, starting and catching greyhounds. 

So True was quick to begin. Jacobite Knight went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Follow You, Pocket Titanium and Whiz Out collided soon after the start checking Whiz Out. Whiz Out checked off Pocket Titanium approaching the first turn. Follow You checked off Pocket Titanium on the first turn. Follow You, Whiz Out and Silver Ability raced wide on the home turn.

Pocket Titanium – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Silver Ability underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr J Bray regarding the racing manners of Silver Ability on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Bray, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Fabriola Duran was slow to begin.

Crymelon Comet and Gypsy Vista collided soon after the start. Crymelon Comet checked off Gypsy Vista approaching the first turn. Fabriola Duran, Indy Honey and Designated collided on the first turn checking Designated, Zippy Wiesman, Gypsy Vista and Crymelon Comet. Indy Honey checked off Fabriola Duran approaching the home turn. Designated and Zippy Wiesman collided on the home turn checking Zippy Wiesman. Designated, Zippy Wiesman and Mepunga Grace collided entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Mohawk Mork - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Rush Out, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

This event was delayed 2 minutes due to operational matters.

Rush Out and Nigerian Kaboom collided soon after the start. Rush Out, Nigerian Kaboom and Javen Bale collided soon after the start. Rush Out, Darley Dynamo and Percy's Princess collided on the first turn checking Darley Dynamo and Percy's Princess. Nigerian Kaboom and Percy's Princess collided approaching the home turn. Darley Dynamo checked off Nigerian Kaboom entering the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Why Not Colby on 24 May 2021.pursuant to GAR 79A.

Yohan Bale was quick to begin. Pretty Much Was slow to begin.

Erupting Avatar crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Pretty Much and Well Built. Yohan Bale checked off Slingshot Title on the first turn. Why Not Colby, Well Built and Erupting Avatar collided on the first turn checking Pretty Much and Senor Senor. Senor Senor, Well Built and Erupting Avatar collided approaching the home turn severely checking Well Built which stumbled as a result. Well Built veered out and marred Erupting Avatar in the home straight.

Well Built underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Ms M Mallia, the handler of Well Built regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Well Built was charged with marring. Ms M Mallia reserved her plea to the charge, Well Built was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Samantha Grenfell was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Loretta Bale pursuant to GAR 33.

Weblec Wave was slow to begin.

Weblec Wave checked off Brilliant Brian soon after the start. Weblec Wave and  Ranako Bale collided approaching the first turn checking both  greyhounds. Spring Empire checked off Loretta Bale on the first turn. Trending River checked off Spring Empire entering the home straight.  Brilliant Brian checked off Palesa Bale entering the home straight.

Weblec Wave underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle and right shoulder injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Caviar was quick to begin.

Big Alfie stumbled at boxrise. Happy Ruby checked off Big Alfie approaching the first turn. Zipping Caviar and Big Alfie collided approaching the home turn. Drako Bale checked off Happy Ruby approaching the home turn. Happy Ruby and Drako Bale collided approaching the winning post. 

Secrets Untold – Late scratching at 6.41pm due to the greyhound  not being presented by the required kennelling time (GAR 31).  Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation,Trainer - Mr. P. Schofield, was fined $250.  

Saint Rock was quick to begin.

Saint Rock and Aston Future collided approaching the first turn checking Saint Rock. Graclyn Bale and Mepunga Royal collided approaching the home turn.

Rilynn Bale and Zimmer Bale were quick to begin. Name Me Nelly was slow to begin.

Rivia Bale and Oliver Bale collided soon after the start. Tiggerlong Bundy and Name Me Nelly collided approaching the first turn. Rivia Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
