Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Green Blazer.
Sovereign Wind and Tiggerlong Tonk were quick to begin. Equalizer was slow to begin.
Tiggerlong Tonk crossed to the rail soon after the start. Equalizer checked off Fabriola Zad soon after the start. Sunset Spitfire checked off Tiggerlong Tonk on the first turn. Sovereign Wind and Equalizer collided on the third turn. Sunset Spitfire and Green Blazer collided several times approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Equalizer checked off Sunset Spitfire on the home turn checking Jepara and King Of Calypso. Sunset Spitfire and Green Blazer collided in the home straight and both greyhounds lost ground.
Sunset Spitfire underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have lost a right hind toe nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A Post-race urine sample was taken from Tiggerlong Tonk (1st) and a blood sample was taken from Equalizer (2nd).
