The starting time for this event was re-scheduled to 8.45pm due to mechanical issues with the generator.
A pre-race sample was taken from - Patricia Maureen.
Madalia Champ, Throw Caution and Ignite The Stars collided soon after the start checking Madalia Champ. Tribal and Throw Caution collided on the first turn checking Tribal and Patricia Maureen. Paua Of Oscar galloped on Ignite The Stars approaching the home turn checking Ignite The Stars and Aston Marlon, severely checking Paua Of Oscar. Tribal galloped on Ignite The Stars on the home turn severely checking Ignite The Stars. Tribal and Aston Marlon collided entering the home straight checking Tribal.
Ignite The Stars underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

There was no head on vision of the back straight for this event.
