Coco Lily was slow to begin.
One Double Beat and Lea Arandt collided at the 300m mark. Maximum Capers checked off Meat Murphy approaching the 250m mark checking One Double Beat and Lea Arandt. Maximum Capers and Meat Murphy collided approaching the 200m mark. Meat Murphy and One Double Beat collided at the 150m mark. Lea Arandt crossed in at the 100m mark checking Meat Murphy and One Double Beat. One Double Beat turned its head outwards at the 50m mark and collided with Meat Murphy, severely checking Meat Murphy.
One Double Beat underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ronald Dunne, the trainer of One Double Beat regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1) One Double Beat was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dunne pleaded guilty to the charge, One Double Beat was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
