Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Carnivore.
Strike Two and Carnivore were slow to begin.
Captain Goldie and Stunning One collided approaching the first turn severely checking Captain Goldie. Strike Two and Captain Goldie collided on the first turn severely checking Captain Goldie. Stunning One visibly eased approaching the winning post. Cool Stone turned its head outward approaching the winning post.
Master Febey underwent a post-race veterinary examination following a fall after the finish line and was found to have abrasions to the left hind foot and the right wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Cool Stone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 12, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Ms L. Dalziel, the representative of Cool Stone regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Cool Stone was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Dalziel pleaded guilty to the charge, Cool Stone was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
