Ten's Enough checked off Daph's Extreme on the first turn checking High Action. Daph's Extreme checked off Seance on the first turn checking Ten's Enough and South Song.

Leroy Deploy and Combust collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mulga Bill and Aston Value collided on the first turn checking Mulga Bill. Lonely Lisa and Trending Zircon collided approaching the home turn checking Lonely Lisa. Rebel Riot raced wide entering the home straight.

Trending Air underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen. Trending Air was found to have a spike wound to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Fabroni Bale was slow to begin.

Yalena Bale and West Song collided approaching the first turn. Fabroni Bale raced wide approaching the first turn. Quinto Bale, No Payer, Yalena Bale, Enicka Bale and West Song collided on the first turn checking No Payer, Enicka Bale, Yalena Bale and Fabroni Bale and severely checking West Song, which fell as a result. No Payer and Blue Magic Opal collided on the home turn. Enicka Bale checked off Fabroni Bale in the home straight. 

West Song underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury, a spike wound to the left hind shin and left front paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Gardener's Boyo and Lachie's Legacy were slow to begin.
