Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Memory Lass.
College Boy was quick to begin. Fearless Pigeon and Tarranginnie were slow to begin.
Fearless Pigeon galloped on Our Brinni approaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds. Marli Ann and Our Brinni collided on the home turn. Fearless Pigeon turned its head outwards on the home turn and collided with Our Brinni, checking both greyhounds.
Fearless Pigeon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms A Gurry regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Fearless Pigeon was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gurry pleaded guilty to the charge, Fearless Pigeon was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
