Steward's Report
Trainer Mr Mark McClelland formally applied to Stewards to withdraw Belt Up Ronny after he mistakenly nominated the greyhound for this distance of race. In accepting the application to withdraw, the Stewards issued a charge to Mr McClelland under GAR 86 (o) for mistakenly nominating Belt Up Ronny, which was considered by the Stewards to be negligent. Mr McClelland pleaded guilty to the charge and after considering the circumstance surrounding the commission of the offence, a fine of $200 was issued with half suspended for 12 months pending no further similar nomination related issues in that period of time.
Nullify and He's A Minstrel were slow to begin. Airly Blueboy checked off Why Not Hutch on the first turn. Grawlix crossed to the rail on the first turn and collided with Why Not Hutch checking Airly Blueboy, He's A Minstrel and Go Gem severely checking Why Not Hutch. Dr. Lynch checked off Grawlix approaching the home turn. Airly Blueboy and Why Not Hutch collided in the home straight.
