All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Dawn Spirit, Have A Summer, Pretty Much and Alabama Shakes were slow to begin.  Recapture Time and Alabama Shakes collided on the first turn checking Alabama Shakes.  Two Pars and Deedee’s Charm collided on the first turn checking Two Pars.  Two Pars and Dawn Spirit collided approaching the home turn.  Give Me Elle and Recapture Time collided approaching the home turn. Two Pars was checked off Dawn Spirit in the home straight.

Alabama Shakes underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right calf muscle, right thigh muscle and right triangle muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Bosnich, the representative for Dynamite Des as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards.  The comments of Mr Bosnich were noted and a pre-race sample was taken for analysis.

Metro Bloomin’ went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rock The Sky was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Dynamite Des, His Stop It and Chicken Schnitty collided approaching the first turn checking His Stop It.  Alecia and Up The Amount collided approaching the first turn checking Up The Amount.  Rock The Sky and His Stop It collided on the first turn checking His Stop It.  Chicken Schnitty and Alecia collided on the first turn checking Chicken Schnitty. Chicken Schnitty was checked off Up The Amount entering the home straight.

Old Sale Road– Late scratching at 12:13pm when Mr Christopher Watson reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Thursday Thunder – Late scratching at 6:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Ms Alana Mammone was fined $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dire Straits.

Dundee Prince, Star Magic and Walk With Grace collided soon after the start checking Dundee Prince and Walk With Grace.  Light On Tackle and Art Prize collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, causing Art Prize to lose ground.  Dundee Prince and Light On Tackle collided in the home straight checking Light On Tackle.

William Rose and Short Pork collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Short Pork galloped on Stirling Lights on the first turn.  Tiberia Bale and Short Pork collided approaching the home turn checking Tiberia Bale, Short Pork and People Get Ready.  William Rose and Stirling Lights collided in the home straight checking Stirling Lights,

Yozo Bale was quick to begin.  Equalizer was slow to begin.  Paua Of Oscar was checked off Earn The Answers approaching the first turn.  Ebby Infrared and Earn The Answers collided approaching the first turn checking Ebby Infrared. Ebby Infrared and Paua Of Oscar collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Earn The Answers and Out Of Sprite collided approaching the home turn checking Equalizer,

Equalizer underwent a post race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have sustained bruising to the neck.  No stand down period was imposed.

Out Of Sprite– Was ordered to wear an anti-aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 71A.

Aeroplane Eric and Kingfisher Rose were quick to begin.  Midnight Monarch and Kingfisher Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Kingfisher Rose.  Aeroplane Eric crossed in on the first turn checking Zambora Smokey.

Brave Joy was slow to begin.  Tiggerlong Tonk and Hazey Roy collided approaching the first turn. Aussie Secret crossed in approaching the first turn checking Hazey Roy, Tiggerlong Tonk and Providence Bale.  Tiggerlong Tonk and Hazey Roy collided on the first turn.  Tiggerlong Tonk and Do Good Davlin collided in the home straight.

Gotham Duke - Late scratching at 8.57pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injured right front toe.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Neo and Jax Bale were quick to begin.  Mr. Neo and Simon Told Helen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Mr. Neo and Simon Told Helen collided approaching the home turn checking Pirate Pete, Mr. Neo and Simon Told Helen.  Mr. Neo visibly eased and turned its head out on the home turn and collided with Simon Told Helen checking Nicholas Rose and causing Mr. Neo and Simon Told Helen to lose ground.

Simon Told Helen underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Mr. Neo underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left chest muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. R. Neocleous regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mr. Neo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Neo was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Annie Rose and Rolling Stone were slow to begin. Harden Up Tommy and Faithy Bale collided entering the home straight checking Harden Up Tommy.  Rolling Stone and Faithy Bale collided in the home straight checking Rolling Stone.

Post race samples were taken from Zipping Zarbo (1st) and Catch The Thief (2nd).

A sample was taken from Shanyln Bear upon arrival at the course.

Galloping Albi was quick to begin.  Even Keats and Knight Zipper collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Shanlyn Bear was checked off Aston Fraiche approaching the first turn. Even Keats was checked off Knight Zipper approaching the first turn.  Even Keats and Aston Fraiche collided on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Legasov Bale upon arrival at the course.

Aston Cabernet, Hurricane Keely and Just Burning collided soon after the start.  Hurricane Keely galloped on Just Burning approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Just Burning and Ripplebrook Rory collided approaching the home turn.  Purify Virtuoso and Ripplebrook Rory collided entering the home straight causing Purify Virtuoso to lose ground.  Hurricane Keely and Aston Cabernet raced wide in the home straight.

Hazardous Rumour and Nowhere Nathe collided on the first turn checking Hazardous Rumour and Madalia Mick. Hazardous Rumour and Baz The Rocket collided approaching the home turn checking Baz The Rocket.  Rio Hustler was checked off Nowhere Nathe approaching the home turn.  Baz The Rocket and Hazardous Rumour collided in the home straight.
