All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.

Dewana Lynda was quick to begin. Major Gilbert and Whakahoro were slow to begin. 

Dewana Whatever and Agent Swan collided approaching the first turn.  Dewana Lynda and Agent Swan collided on the first turn, checking Dewana Lynda which caused Dewana Lynda and Dewana Whatever to collide.  Dewana Lynda and Agent Swan collided approaching the second turn causing Aston Vogue to race wide.  Dewana Lynda, Agent Swan and Whakahoro collided on the second turn.  Major Gilbert and Agent Swan collided on the third turn.

Rebecca Gay, Shall She Charm and Bye The Way were quick to begin.  Freda Rocks and Spirit Energy were slow to begin. 

Bye The Way checked off Shall She Charm on the first turn causing Bye The Way and Freda Rocks to collide, checking Freda Rock and severely checking Bye The Way which lost ground as a result.  Freda Rocks checked off Yellowtail Bear approaching the third turn.  Shall She Charm and Rebecca Gay collided entering the back straight.  Yellowtail Bear and Freda Rocks collided in the back straight, on the fourth turn and again in the home straight. 

Bye The Way underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left forepaw.  No stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Aston Glow upon arrival at the course.

Galloping Speed crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Lunar Star.  Galloping Speed and El Rey Leon collided approaching the first turn.  Galloping Speed checked off Aston Glow on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Lunar Star, Starfleet and Inga Zach collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds; Starfleet and Inga Zach raced wide as a result.  Galloping Speed and Aston Glow collided approaching the third turn.  Inga Zach and Aston Glow collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lunar Star - the winner of the event.

Galloping Albi and Kibitzer were quick to begin.  Aston Bullet and Blackest Black were slow to begin.  

Galloping Albi and Invictus Jaxson collided approaching the first turn, checking Galloping Albi which caused Galloping Albi, Aston Bullet and Blackest Black to collide, checking all three greyhounds; Aston Bullet raced wide as a result.  Invictus Jaxson checked off Keep It Blue approaching the second turn.  Galloping Albi and Blackest Black collided approaching the second turn.  Kibitzer and Keep it Blue collided entering the back straight.  Blackest Black and Galloping Albi collided entering the back straight, checking Galloping Albi.  Inviictus Jaxson checked off Kibitzer on the third turn causing Invictus Jaxson and Blackest Black to collide.  Aston Bullet and Blackest Black collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Invictus Jaxson and Kibitzer collided on the home turn.

Summer Lights was quick to begin. 

My Oh Fernando and Inga Ollie collided soon after the start.  Aston Chandra faltered approaching the first turn and fell as a result.  Utah Express checked off Lektra Jena on the first turn, checking Utah Express, Lektra Jena and King Gristle; Utah Express and King Gristle raced wide as a result.  Inga Ollie and Lektra Jena collided approaching the second turn.  Inga Ollie and My Oh Fernando collided approaching the home turn.  

Aston Chandra underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right scapula fracture. A 90 day stand down was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Count Me In and Sarcasmic were quick to begin.  Sarcasmic crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Riccarton Rick and Parzival collided soon after the start.  Charango and Lots Of Chatter collided soon after the start.  Charango and Riccarton Rick collided on the first turn.  Lots Of Chatter checked off Count Me In entering the back straight.  Charango checked off Riccarton Rick entering the back straight.  Riccarton Rick checked off Crackerjack Fish in the back straight.  Riccarton Rick checked off Sarcasmic entering the home straight causing Riccarton Rick and Crackerjack Fish to collide, checking Charango. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lots Of Chatter - the winner of the event.

Luxury Rocks was slow to begin.  

Low Planes, Cool Limit and High Plain collided soon after the start.  Where's The Rum and Stretch Butler collided approaching the first turn.  Where's The Rum checked off Stretch Butler on the first turn causing Where's The Rum and Luxury Rocks to collide.  High Plain, Cool Limit and Low Planes collided on the first turn.  High Plain and Low Planes collided approaching the second turn, checking Low Planes.  High Plain checked off Luxury Rocks entering the back straight.  Cool Limit and Low Planes collided on the third turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Delancy Bale - the winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Crackerjack Kane upon arrival at the course.

Demolition and Crackerjack Kane were quick to begin.  Motor City Tiger was slow to begin. 

Weblec Bloom and Hugo collided soon after the start, checking Weblec Bloom.  Crackerjack Kane and Super Zoom Jake collided on the first turn, checking Super Zoom Jake and Demolition causing Super Zoom Jake, Hugo and Aston Turbine to collide.  Need A Jockey checked off Super Zoom Jake approaching the second turn.  Super Zoom Jake checked off Motor City Tiger entering the home straight.  Motor City Tiger, Demolition and Aston Turine collided in the home straight. 

Aston Rabanne and Kensington Miss were quick to begin. 

Aston Rabanne crossed to the rail soon after the start. Fractured checked off Aston Rabanne approaching the first turn. Fractured, Aston Rabanne, Cypress Bale and Meet Joe Black collided on the first turn, checking Fractured, Aston Rabanne, Cypress Bale, Meet Joe Black and Destructive Riot.  Aston Rabanne, Cypress Bale and Meet Joe Black collided approaching the second turn, checking Aston Rabanne. 

A post-race sample was taken from Fractured - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Elsa Rose.

Halwes and Another Mirage were quick to begin.

Caveman Yap and He Shall Enchant collided approaching the first turn. Another Mirage, Elsa Rose and Halwes collided approaching the third checking Another Mirage and Halwes. Caveman Yap and Another Mirage collided entering the back straight checking Another Mirage which lost ground as a result. Halwes checked off Caveman Yap in the back straight.

Another Mirage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was reexamined a short time later.  Another Mirage was found to have a right hind tarsal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
