Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from All Inn Benny.
Rall's Girl was quick to begin. Brave Traveller was slow to begin.
Flying Unicorn and Uniquely Mine collided on the first turn, checking Flying Unicorn; causing Brave Traveller and Flying Unicorn to collide. Uniquely Mine crossed to the rail on the first turn; causing All Inn Benny, She's A Keeper, Flying Unicorn and Brave Traveller to collide, checking all four greyhounds. All Inn Benny and Flying Unicorn collided entering the back straight, checking All Inn Benny. Flying Unicorn and Uniquely Mine collided approaching the home turn; severely checking both greyhounds. All Inn Benny and Uniquely Mine collided entering the home straight; checking All Inn Benny, Uniquely Mine and Flying Unicorn.
Flying Unicorn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg toe injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr T Erenshaw regarding the racing manners of Flying Unicorn approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Erenshaw, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action due to the poor quality footage and subsequently lack of clear evidence.
