Steward's Report

Bee Lucky Banjo was quick to begin. Singing Flame was slow to begin.

Brilliant Brian and Pheme collided soon after the start. Time For Rockin' checked off Aston Pride in the back straight. Bee Lucky Banjo and Pheme collided in the back straight. She's Something checked off Aston Pride on the second turn. Bee Lucky Banjo galloped on the heels of Pheme on the second turn. Time For Rockin' galloped on the heels of Argyle Audrey approaching the home turn checking Argyle Audrey. Aston Pride, Time For Rockin', Singing Flame and Argyle Audrey collided on the home turn. Bee Lucky Banjo turned it's head inwards towards Pheme and visibly eased in the home straight.

Bee Lucky Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Bernard Seymour, the trainer of Bee Lucky Banjo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Bee Lucky Banjo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Seymour pleaded guilty to the charge, Bee Lucky Banjo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
