Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Lure Driver, Mr Chris Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Talbingo Bale.
Kenji Bale, Wynton Bale and Shanlyn Kendall collided soon after the start. Merge Left and Wynton Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Pacific Express and Shanlyn Kendall collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Merge Left visibly eased and turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with Pacific Express and Shanlyn Kendall causing all three greyhounds to lose ground.
Merge Left underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and a spike wound to the right hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs Julie Chilcott regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Merge Left was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Merge Left was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
