A pre-race sample was taken from Talbingo Bale.

Kenji Bale, Wynton Bale and Shanlyn Kendall collided soon after the start. Merge Left and Wynton Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Pacific Express and Shanlyn Kendall collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Merge Left visibly eased and turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with Pacific Express and Shanlyn Kendall causing all three greyhounds to lose ground. 

Merge Left underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right monkey muscle and a spike wound to the right hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mrs Julie Chilcott regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Merge Left was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Merge Left was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Red Mahogany was slow to begin.

Red Mahogany and One Hombre collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Global Surprise and Shim Bob collided on the first turn. Hold The Line, Boom Buster and Whodat Diva collided on the first turn, approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Boom Buster and One Hombre collided on the third turn checking One Hombre, severely checking Boom Buster. Shim Bob checked off Whodat Diva on the fourth turn. Hold The Line and Whodat Diva collided on the home turn.

Boom Buster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Wild Aces Agogo and Cayden Bale collided soon after the start checking Wild Aces Agogo. Wild Aces Agogo galloped on the heels of Cayden Bale entering the back straight checking Broken Boots, severely checking Wild Aces Agogo and Cayden Bale. Our Frosty checked off Dollhouse Agogo on the third turn.

Wynnum Star, Lunar Star and Fully Roasted collided on the first turn checking Lunar Star and Fully Roasted. Carla Veloso and Aston Future collided on the first turn. Carla Veloso checked off Aston Future approaching the second turn and collided with Barefoot Barry. Wynnum Star checked off Carla Veloso in the back straight.

Son Of Suri visibly eased on the third turn and collided with Grey Not Blue checking both greyhounds. Token Lilly checked off Sweet Hostility approaching the home turn. Son Of Suri and Grey Not Blue collided on the home turn.

Son Of Suri underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr David Geall regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Son of Suri was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Geall pleaded guilty to the charge, Son Of Suri was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gardener's Boyo faltered entering the back straight and subsequently pulled up. Kraken Doll and Utah Express collided on the fourth turn checking Utah Express. Pyrenees Steele and Rezzie's Choice collided on the fourth turn checking Pyrenees Steele.

Gardener's Boyo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track entering the back straight and deemed it was satisfactory for racing.
