Steward's Report
Get On Beers and Hands On Deck were slow to begin. Luca's Jebrynah crossed in soon after the start checking Kiwi Billy and Got Him Yes. Just Needed Time, Callum's Capers and Got Him Yes collided on the first turn checking Callum's Capers and Got Him Yes. Just Needed Time crossed out on the home turn and raced wide in the home straight. Get On Beers turned it's head outwards and eased approaching the winning post.
Get On Beers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Phil Liapis regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of 69A(1) Get On Beers was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Liapis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Get On Beers was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Luca's Jebrynah - the winner of the event.
