Steward's Report
Timmy and Lady Elegance were quick to begin. Shaded Disguise was slow to begin. Shaded Disguise and Roulette collided on the first turn. Roulette turned it's head outwards on the first turn checking Airly Spence and California Blond. Gerry's Lara faltered on the first turn losing considerable ground severely checking California Blond; Gerry's Lara subsequently pulled up. Lady Elegance clipped the heels of Timmy approaching the home turn.
Timmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined. No apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. J. McMahon, the representative of Timmy regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Timmy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. McMahon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Timmy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
California Blond underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Gerry's Lara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Roulette underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined. No apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Fulford, the trainer of Roulette regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1), Roulette was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Roulette was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
