Sunnyside Pride and Cypress Bale collided soon after the start. Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided soon after the start. Aces Are Trumps, Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided on the first turn checking Ambitious. Teardrop checked off Cypress Bale on the second turn. Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided in the back straight checking Ambitious. Cypress Bale checked off Fenway Lights in the back straight. Ambitious checked off Teardrop on the third turn. Raja Bale visibly eased on the third turn. Teardrop and Cypress Bale collided approaching the home turn. Teardrop and Ambitious collided approaching the home turn. Raja Bale marred Sunnyside Pride entering the home straight. High Plain and Sunnyside Pride race wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Lisa Delbridge, the representative of Raja Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the third turn. Mrs Delbridge declined to have the greyhound vetted. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Raja Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge, Raja Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
