An out of competition sample was taken from Tom The Cheap on 7 April 2021.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gintoki Bale.

Zylon Bale and Tom The Cheap collided on the first turn checking Zylon Bale.  Gintoki Bale, Rock It Jed and Zheng collided on the first turn severely checking Gintoki Bale and Rock It Jed, Gintoki Bale faltered and tailed off as a result.  Zylon Bale, Tom The Cheap and Zheng collided on the second turn.  Call Me Chloe checked off Postman Pickett on the second turn.  Zylon Bale checked off Tom The Cheap entering the back straight.  Tom The Cheap crossed out in the back straight checking Call Me Chloe and Zheng.

Gintoki Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Gintoki Bale was found to have a right wrist sprain and a right calf muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Turbulence was slow to begin.

Aston Future and Grace's Spirit collided approaching the first turn. Alpine Blaze and Inka Bale collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Midoriyama checked off Inka Bale entering the back straight. Grace's Spirit and Inka Bale collided in the back straight checking Inka Bale. Aston Future checked off Whatever I Say in the back straight. Midoriyama and Inka Bale collided approaching the third turn checking Inka Bale. Grace's Spirit checked off Aston Future approaching the home turn. Grace's Spirit and Turbulence collided entering the home straight. Grace's Spirit, Xavien Bale and Aston Future collided approaching the winning post.

Fairytale Wish and Gemma Blue collided on the first turn checking Gemma Blue and Carry On Liam.  Happy Hannah and Gemma Blue collided approaching the second turn.  Rhonda Lily raced wide in the back straight.

Hank The Hustler crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Jump Into Action.  Lump Sum checked off Weblec Haze on the second turn.

Invictus Rising crossed out soon after the start causing Invictus Rising, Black Gemstone, Aston Champagne, Russian Sub, Fractured, Gleeson and Frank's Girl to collide.  Fractured and Frank's Girl collided approaching the second turn.  Invictus Rising checked off Well Grounded approaching the second turn.  Aston Champagne and Russian Sub collided in the back straight.  Aston Champagne checked off Black Gemstone on the home turn causing Aston Champagne and Gleeson to collide.  Black Gemstone checked off Frank's Girl in the home straight.

He Shall Blitz and Knicks Bale were slow to begin and collided on the first turn.  Dark Arrow and Cool Bourbski collided on the first turn.  Curfew crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Dark Arrow.  California Gold checked off Zipping Norman in the back straight.  Dark Arrow checked off It's Not Fun in the back straight checking Cool Bourbski.

Cha Cha Charlie crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kenny The Brute, Tough Tears and Tyler Durden.  Cha Cha Charlie and Riccarton Rick collided entering the home straight.  

Tough Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Rambo - winner of the event. 

Sweet As Emm was slow to begin.

Radek Bale and Broady Lights collided soon after the start.  Got The Torque and Scatterbox collided on the first turn.  Broady Lights checked off Scatterbox on the second turn.  Sweet As Emm galloped on Scatterbox on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  

Stirling Lights crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Jarick Bale and Zipping Walter.  Taken and Wendalin Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Taken, Wendalin Bale and Mepunga Warrior collided on the first turn checking Jarick Bale, Zipping Walter, severely checking Wendalin Bale.  Stirling Lights faltered in the back straight checking Taken and Mepunga Warrior.  Stirling Lights and Zipping Walter collided on the third turn checking Zipping Walter.  Jarick Bale checked off Shinjuku entering the home straight.  

Wendalin Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and a right hock sprain.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  

Stirling Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Gentleman Thief.

Father Phevos was quick to begin.

Smart As Jack, Aston Adonis and Rollo Ragnar collided soon after the start checking Aston Adonis.  Smart As Jack galloped on Nenna Tears on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds, Nenna Tears fell as a result.  Father Phevos and Belle Ali collided on the third turn.  Gentleman Thief and Graclyn Bale collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn. 

Smart As Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Nenna Tears underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Vayda Bale.

Vayda Bale was quick to begin.

Kinson Bale and Desert Flame collided soon after the start.  Shanlyn Bear galloped on Vayda Bale approaching the first turn checking all eight greyhounds in the race.  Shanlyn Bear and Andy Time collided on the second turn checking Shanlyn Bear.  Shanlyn Bear and Desert Flame collided in the back straight checking Shanlyn Bear.  Shanlyn Bear and Notoriety collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Andy Time tired over the concluding stages.

Andy Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hind hock.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sunnyside Pride and Cypress Bale collided soon after the start.  Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided soon after the start.  Aces Are Trumps, Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided on the first turn checking Ambitious.  Teardrop checked off Cypress Bale on the second turn.  Fenway Lights and Ambitious collided in the back straight checking Ambitious.  Cypress Bale checked off Fenway Lights in the back straight.  Ambitious checked off Teardrop on the third turn.  Raja Bale visibly eased on the third turn.  Teardrop and Cypress Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Teardrop and Ambitious collided approaching the home turn.  Raja Bale marred Sunnyside Pride entering the home straight.  High Plain and Sunnyside Pride race wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Lisa Delbridge, the representative of Raja Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the third turn. Mrs Delbridge declined to have the greyhound vetted.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Raja Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge, Raja Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
