Impress Shades and Blue Tiger were quick to begin.

Aston Fastnet crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and checked off Stiff Wind checking Mepunga Reject and He Shall Blitz.  Aston Fastnet and Mepunga Reject collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Reject.  Impress Shades and People Get Ready collided approaching the second turn.  Impress Shades and Stiff Wind collided on the second turn.  People Get Ready checked off Stiff Wind in the back straight.  He Shall Blitz checked off Mepunga Reject approaching the home turn.  People Get Ready and Rhonda Lily collided on the home turn.  

Impress Shades underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have lacerations to the left and right forelegs .  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet As Emm was slow to begin.

Lakeview Cruiser and Mepunga Felix collided soon after the start.  Lakeview Cruiser, Riccarton Rick and Carry On Angel collided approaching the first turn checking Carry On Angel causing Carry On Angel and Gotham Duke to collide, severely checking Riccarton Rick, causing Riccarton Rick and Mepunga Felix to collide checking Sweet As Emm, causing Riccarton Rick and Sweet As Emm to collide.  Mepunga Felix checked off Carry On Angel approaching the second turn.  Aston Lavinia and Carry On Angel collided entering the back straight.  Riccarton Rick and Aston Lavinia collided on the third turn.  Gotham Duke checked off Lakeview Cruiser approaching the home turn.  Mepunga Felix and Sweet As Emm collided entering the home straight.

Earn The Answers, Suntory Rose and Envy To Burn collided soon after the start.  Keep It Black and Gypsy Yankee collided approaching the first turn.  Earn The Answers checked off Gypsy Yankee approaching the first turn.  Grace's Spirit and Earn The Answers collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Suntory Rose and Five Star to race wide.  Envy To Burn checked off Gypsy Yankee approaching the second turn.  Earn The Answers and Envy To Burn collided on the third turn checking Suntory Rose.  Grace's Spirit, Suntory Rose and Five Star collided approaching the home turn.  Suntory Rose and Five Star collided approaching the home turn.  Grace's Spirit and Envy To Burn collided entering the home straight causing Envy To Burn and Five Star to collide.

Hadouken underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have lacerations to the left foreleg and left hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Shanlyn Bear and I'm Not Budging collided soon after the start checking I'm Not Budging causing I'm Not Budging and Mepunga Gertie to collide.  Yalena Bale and Mepunga Gertie collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Gertie and Yalena Bale collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Shanlyn Bear checked off Big Wings approaching the second turn.  I'm Not Budging and Mepunga Gertie collided on the second turn checking Mepunga Gertie.  I'm Not Budging and Aston Titan collided entering the back straight checking Aston Titan.  Aston Oriental and Shanlyn Bear collided approaching the home turn.  

Stewards issued Mr. Terrence Erenshaw with a warning for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Flying Fox pursuant to GAR 33.
