Steward's Report
Daph's Ascend was quick to begin. Jagetti Bale was slow to begin. King Of Calypso, Blackest Black and Hadouken collided soon after the start. King Of Calypso and Blackest Black collided several times approaching the first turn. Hadouken checked off Handsome Jack approaching the first turn. King Of Calypso and Blackest Black collided on the first turn. Xamira Bale and La La Oregon collided on the first turn. Jagetti Bale and Blackest Black collided on the first turn. Jagetti Bale and La La Oregon collided on the first turn. Jagetti Bale and Blackest Black collided approaching the second turn. King Of Calypso checked off Blackest Black approaching the second turn. Hadouken checked off Daph's Ascend on the second turn. Jagetti Bale faltered on the third turn and faded from then onwards. Handsome Jack shifted out and inconvenienced Xamira Bale on the home turn.
Jagetti Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right calf and left triangle muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Lisa Delbridge, the handler of Jagetti Bale regarding the performance. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mrs Delbridge to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Jagetti Bale in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post race sample was taken from Daph's Ascend, the winner of the event.
